Kentucky Stage will produce a summer season of classic and contemporary plays every year, with a resident company of Equity and non-Equity actors, as well as college-age apprentices. As a fully professional theatre, it will be unlike any theatre in Central Kentucky.

Our inspiration is the Williamstown Theatre Festival, America's preeminent summer theatre. In residence at Williams College in Massachusetts since 1954, the festival has had a strong impact — as both a national center of artistic excellence and a catalyst for growth in the local economy.

"I am so happy to hear of the creation of this new theatre company at Centre College. Kentucky Stage will create such positive energy for Danville — and, in time, the ripples of this bold venture will be felt throughout the theatrical community of America. Bravo, Timothy and Patrick!"

— Lynn Redgrave, actress
(founding member of Britain's Royal National Theatre)

"Having begun my career at the Williamstown Theater Festival, I know what an extraordinary contribution a summer theatre can make, not only to the lives of artists but, to a community as a whole. It's a cultural and economic engine that pays back exponentially. Best of luck!"
